If music mixed with food and drinks at a scenic riverside location sounds like your kind of thing, then don’t miss River Rocks this Saturday, April 1st. It is April Fools Day but hey, it’s no joke!
A celebration of what makes Columbia truly special, our rivers. River Rocks benefits Congaree Riverkeeper, the local affiliate of Waterkeeper Alliance. Every dollar raised goes to protect and improve water quality, wildlife habitat, and recreation on our three rivers. Past performers have included Jason Isbell and Shovels & Rope.
Zach Deputy is the headliner this year. His new album Wash it in the Water is apropos. River Rocks has a new campsite in 2017, just behind USC’s Founder’s Park near the Blossom Street bridge. There’s Baseball parking galore. Come see us all day while we broadcasting WXRY live.
River Rocks will be held this Saturday from Noon to 8. Tickets are only $12-$15 and are available online on eventbrite.com.
